Last weekend, I refrained from writing as I surrendered most of my time to sleep, arguably a waste, yet what alternative did I have given the current stagnant circumstances? Incidentally, I acquired a new ebook reader: the Kindle Paperwhite 4. While pre-owned, it serves my purpose well of cultivating a daily reading habit while minimizing my dependence on phones and laptops.
Returning to today’s narrative: It was a glorious day with abundant sunlight filtering through gently drifting clouds adorning the azure sky. I clocked in at 8:32 AM, marginally earlier than my weekly average. This morning afforded little time for leisure, as two files awaited my attention: our company profile and the president’s personal profile for submission to an award called Red Star.
The company profile proved straightforward, requiring merely adequate information gathering. However, the president’s personal profile presented a considerable challenge. With virtually no knowledge about him, I was compelled to contact the President’s Office for the requisite information. Regrettably, they appeared disinclined to cooperate.
By noon, I utilized the microwave to reheat my prepared lunch. Upon tasting, I was dismayed to discover that the soup had spoiled. Consequently, I settled for rice and a single dish.
Following a brief respite, I awoke to the realization that I had successfully completed today’s assigned task. Now I must determine my next course of action.
